Reception Update: Hantaran (Armani!)

It's a long and tiring day. But joyful =D

It's a national public holiday, Awal Muharram. Went to the Pavilion for our continuous hunts of on sale stuff for our big day. That's the reason why I said tiring but joyful =p

We reached Pavilion around 1.00pm. I knew it was going to be a long walk today so I chose to wear my pink flat Skechers. Feels so comfy! =p

Technically we went in every each stores that's in the Pavilion. At first, I feel like it was such a waste of time since I just wanna go to Aldo, Nine West and Charles & Keith. But I was kinda glad we went to every retail outlets that was there. Wanna know why? Read this entry til the very bottom of it.

Went in Padini Concept Store and saw this nice cute flats hanging on the Vincci's rack. It's a simple flats with small flower prints on it. It was priced RM45 but it's on 50% off. Looked nice so I bought it since my Skechers are getting worn out already.

After going to some of the shops, we were hungy. We went to Subway since there is this buy one, free one promotion going on. Got to know about it here. You should read check out this website often, guys. It's a useful website for shopaholics! =D

How it looks like in the paper. There's two coupon, peeps!
We wanted to have the Italian B.M.T. ene was about to use the coupon when he saw the Sub-Of-The-Day bunting. It's Monday and it's Italian B.M.T! How can we forget that today is Monday. Just our luck so we can save the coupon for some other day. (You guys know right that if you buy the Sub-Of-The-Day, the Sub is priced half than the normal price?)

My Baby
Feeling full, we continue our journey looking for hantaran item. Was a bit worried though since I haven't got anything for myself yet. ene by the least, he already got his cK shirt. Sigh.

We went from one shop to another. Went in to Nine West and Aldo. There were some shoes on sale that's in my budget. But didn't find the design nice. Either it's too heavy or too simple. (The shoes will be displayed on a tray, remember? So, the design plays a VERY important role in this case).

Then we went to Armani. Saw a nice bag. And nice price. RM1440. I quickly put it back. When I was about to turn around and walk out, I was this one bag with a price tag dangling from the bag. It stated RM540. RM540?? As fast as I can, I reached at the bag and looked carefully at the price. I thought my eyes was playing with me, but it wasn't. It is RM540. And guess what's the best part? It has 30% discount! That time I can see the bag is glittering and shining as though it wants me to take it home.

A|X Python Print Hand/Shoulder Bag RM540
It's so my style of bag. I love the shoulder strap especially as I sometimes kinda lazy to hand carry my bags. The perfect bag for the girl on the go! Textured reptile finish and bold hardware give this bag a chic look that works day into night. The attachable long cross-body strap also makes this an any occasion bag. Wanted to get it but I need to have a matching wallet to go with it. (It will also be displayed side by side together with the bag). Then I found it.

A|X Python Print Wallet RM270
Omg. All of the wallets are made to match most of the handbags here! I became gaga at the outlet looking for the most suitable match. After thinking long and hard, I decided to choose the above wallet. It's such a match made in heaven, don't you think? It's RM280. Ohh.. not to forget. It's also 30% off! Boy.. I'm so buying you. This reptile wallet has a sophisticated textured look and gold hinge hardware. Textured faux reptile wallet double bill compartment 6 credit card slots and 4 open pockets inside zipper coin pocket Fit 5.75" w, 4" h, 1.25" gold hinge hardware. The fabric is 100% imported PVC.

The girl behind the counter wrapped both items with thin papers and put it in a clear shopping bag. My heart went into the bag as well together with the wrapped item. ene paid for it. My heart blooms uncontrollably. My first Armani collection!

But, I have to wait a year before I can open the wrappers. Oh boy.. I hope they will be safe and sound underneath those paper wrappers and plastics. ene.. please take good care of them for me.

Here's the ads for both of the items..

The flats are quite nice, aren't they?

Accessories to match
Couldn't get my hands on both of my lovelies.. I guess pictures should do for now..

We stopped at Starbuck's for a while to re-energize with coffee. My feet are screaming with pain and so did ene's. He ordered his favourite drink, Caramel Macchiato.

He's All-Time-Favourite Drink, Caramel Macchiato
I wanted some chocolate-based drink but ene ordered me this new range of Christmas drink, Toffee Nut. And boy, it was delicious.

Peppermint Mocha, Toffee Nut Latte and Dark Cherry Mocha
Would really try the Dark Cherry Mocha next time. Looks delicious, right?

Our last pit-stop was KL Syuuk Burger owned by ene's good friend, Shah. We had our Subway around 3.00pm so we were still full. We wanted to find something light plus we wanted to lepak-lepak and support our friend's busines.

I reached home around 10.00pm. Changed my clothes, dribble a bit in my buku kawen and dozed off to the dreamland.

Seri Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Having a 'me' time this weekend. Just wanted to enjoy and relax my mind and soul a bit. Got the room for only RM167 per night at Seri Pacific Hotel, opposite The Mall through Agoda. Cheap, huh? Maybe they are having a monthly promo or something. Who cares.

Reception Update: The Hantaran (Calvin Klein!)

My veeeeeeeeeery long holiday is here! Yeayy! =p

Since I still have another 10 days of annual leave to finish up til December, I decided to take a 5 long days of leave to pamper myself of running, shopping, feasting, wedding invitation as well as weekend retreat! My leave is on now until 22nd November 2011. Jealous? You should be, peeps! =p

Today is Friday, so I asked ene to ponteng his Friday prayer (evil, I know, but only for today. I swear!) and take a half day leave to go to KLCC for shopping! It's the first day of Isetan Member Card's Day sale today. I thought this would be a good chance for us to find something branded but cheap for our hantaran.

So, I went to KL to pick ene up at the NZ mamak near KLCC. He was having a drink there with Syikin and Ajis. And boy, it was raining so heavily I couldn't see the road.

So, we went to KLCC and started looking for things to buy and waste our monthly salary with. We went to Isetan first and ene saw this Asics running shoes. 'Okay dear, that isn't for our hantaran,' I remembered myself said. But he went and bought it anyway. It's quite cheap, though. RM149.

I wore my red stiletto today as I thought it would be just like the same dating pattern as always - walk for 15 minutes and relaxing and chatting over coffee till dark. Boy, I was wrong. ene has been possessed by the shopping ghosts and  dragged me the whole day to walk into each and every retail outlets there is in KLCC. Believe it or not? Believe it. =|

My feet was about to explode when he finally said he wanted coffee. Pheww! We sat and chatted about our wedding preps for about 2 hours when he dragged me back to my feet for another round of window shopping. Duh.

Luckily, at last he bought this nice charcoal black cK shirt. The original price was RM399 and the discounted price was RM169. Such a bargain, huh? We were so excited with our first bought item for our hantaran. The search of hantarans has finally started! Feeling giddy and eager, I paid for the shirt since he'll be buying my things in the future. Need to put a note and record every little thing we buy for this wedding, though.

cK Shirt for ene RM169 Only!

We left KLCC at about 8.30pm and headed straight to Wisma Sejarah for Rose & Fauze's wedding reception. It was quite a nice wedding with very unique pelamin of mirrors. Have never seen that before. The bride and groom sat there so beautifully with the bride holding a hand bouquet. We went straight to the buffet table first before snapping more pictures.

Yepp.. was so hungry, I finished mine to the last bite.
Ergh.. I really need to do something with my hair. It looked so ugly. Too long and too frizzy and to lame and too everything. I really wanted to have short bob hair like before. But I need to keep my hair long for the sanggul. Argh helpp!

The Bagai-Pinang-Dibelah-Dua Couple

The door gift
I was just having my drink when suddenly I saw the door gift. They bought it from the Wedding Cottage! I was just looking at the Wedding Cottage's website this morning. The spice jar is so cute with the red and white checkered cloth wrapped around it. It look something like the jar in the picture. Been thinking to get some ideas from the website and DIY it myself =p For those who are about to get married, do check out their website ya!

Us
We left around 10.00pm and went to Nisma to wrap up our day. Discussed a bit more about our wedding preps (there's so many thing to do!) and I went home around 12 midnight since I need to wake up early for the Penang trip. Oh.. forgot to mention, I'm going to run Penang Bridge International Marathon tomorrow! Yipppeeeee! =D

Hectic Sunday

I am half awake while writing this entry. It has been a really looooong day today..

I woke up at exactly 4.45am. Why, you asks? Because I'm running for the CICM Responsible Care Run 2011 in Setia Alam. Yepp.. it was that early because the event started at 6.15am and since we are quite far from Setia Alam, we need to start our journey at 5.15am.

The morning was so serene and peaceful. I haven't woken up this early since years back. Abah drove me there and we reached around 6am. After dropping off my baggage at the baggage counter, I gathered with other runner at the starting line. Bumped into my fellow runner, Irwan. We ran together at the Gold Coast Airport Marathon last July.

The course was quite okay. Not so hilly, not so flat. We weren't cramped up while running as the roads were very wide there. The only downfalls for me would be some of the parts of the road were quite dirty due to the lorries and tractors are coming in and out of the place. Setia Alam is a still very new housing estate and there are still a lot development going on here and there. So, the soil and water makes the roads there really dirty and muddy and smudgy. Luckily it was only at some parts of the roads.

I was kinda lazy to run this time. Not sure why and i finished in 03:10:59. Bad, I know. Luckily I still got the medal. Hehe.. But, there was this one thing happened that was out of my imagination and have never ever EVER expected this ridiculous thing would happen in a RUNNING event..

THEY RAN OUT OF WATER!

and..
THE WATER STATION WAS SO FAR AWAY IT WAS PRACTICALLY HIDDEN BEHIND OTHER SPONSOR'S BOOTH!
Can you believe this? I can't. I meant, it was supposed to be a running event. Even though the participation wasn't as huge as KL Marathon or Penang Bridge Marathon, they need to at least supply adequate amount of drinks to runners. Don't they know how thirsty the runners are panting and exhausting at the finishing line? After they got their medal, what are they looking for? Don't they learn from mistakes? Thirst, exhausted and dehydration can lead to death. I guess, they never learn from others mistakes.

I didn't even wait for the lucky draws. Need to find water fast. So, went out to the parking lot to find my parents waiting for me. Luckily Abah always carry two bottles of mineral water in the car. You're such a saviour, Abah!

Then we went straight to Syed's Bistro for breakfast. That's their usual dating spot. Instead of roti canai or anything light, I headed straight to the Nasi Beriyani counter. Had Ayam Madu as the side dish. Not as what I expected, quite frustrating, though. Couldn't finish the ayam, so I tapau-ed for the kucings at home.

Napped for an hour and a half, then got straight up. Washed up and out I went. The plan was to fetch ene then go straight to Mid Valley to collect Nike We Run KL 10K 2011 race kit and meeting ene's mom about her baju kurung later in the evening.

The Event Banner
Got to the Mid Valley car park and it was one hell of a place. Looking for a parking lot for like 15 minutes and I gave up. Asked ene to wait in the car while I rushed up for the race kit. Luckily there wasn't any queue since it was already Sunday (and luckily I didn't go yesterday =p).

The dri-fit t-shirt is nice. But. it doesn't fit me. It was too small! I asked for XS because talking from experience, sport's brands sizing are slightly bigger than other fashion brand. Argh. Should've asked for S or even M. Bummer.

Other things included in the race kit was Nike water bottle, which I'm not a big fan of.. the one you need to suck the water out from. Yuck. Hate it.

Done at the race kit collection point, I headed down to the car park. And then i saw it.

Crispy Popiah RM6
Maybe because I've just completed 21K run, I kept on wanting to eat and eat and eat. So, I grabbed one packet (it was still hot!) and went down to meet ene.

Sharing the popiah in the car with ene while feeding him (Aaawww..), we talked about where to head after this. ene wanted to see the clearang sale of  Zara and Massimo Dutti that was happening at Jaya One, PJ.

Nothing much interests me so we left. It was raining and cold and I was feeling like having a nice cup of white coffee. Went to Pappa Rich and chatted about two hours then when to Mali's Corner for a Nasi Lemak session.

Nasi Lemak Ayam Rempah
With a tummy full with Nasi Lemak, we headed back to ene's house to meet his mom. Thought it would be only us. But it turned out that Abang Wan and Falsya were also there having dinner. They just got back from meeting the caterer for their reception. And I was forced to eat again. Adeh..

The plan of just 'dropping by' to see his mom turned out to be a long chat with them as I was accidentally involved in their wedding prep discussion. Haih.. Layan kan aje..

Told ya it's gonna be a loooong entry =p

Ain's Wedding @ Cheras

I knew it this weekend would be hell.

Woke up as early as 7.00am (yess.. on Saturdays, 7.00am is considered early. Please bare with me) to collect the race kit for the CICM Responsible Care Run 2011 in Setia Alam. It felt so far driving from Seri Kembangan to Setia Alam (eventhough Abah the one who was driving). Not many people around.. I think most of the runner have already taken their race kit last week.

Race kit consists of only this two items

We went straight back home without having any breakfast at our usual breakfast spot (Sorry, Ma) since I needed to attend Ain's wedding in Cheras. Wanted to go with ene at first, but thought it's going to be quite a rush since I didn't know what time will I reach home from Setia Alam while he needed to go early to the wedding since he was having class at 3.00pm. So, I decided to go with Liyana instead since Ahmad wasn't available and told ene he didn't to go. He was kinda upset with my abrupt change of plan. Oh well..

Us with The Bride and Groom
The menu was Nasi Beriyani, Nasi Putih, Ayam Masak Merah, Daging Kurma, Acar Buah, Oranges and Tapai Pulut for dessert. Loved the Ayam Masak Merah and Acar Buah especially. I've always loved Tapai Pulut, but this one was too gassy to my liking.

Ohh.. nearly forgot to mention.. this was a double wedding! Hehe.. I love to see double wedding. The more the merrier, right? Ain & the groom wears black and gold whereas the other couple (Ain's inlaws) wears white and gold. Pity I didn't have their pictures together.

I reached home around 5.30pm. Traffic was hell. I guess too many couples wed today. Marriage.. Weddings.. Engagements.. Rings.. Hantarans.. Turn aku bila?

In Time

It's Monday.

Been lazying the whole day till my back hurt yesterday. Decided to go out and smell the flowers today. Or I will definitely die watching another Anna Olson rerun.

Asked ene if he would want to go catch a movie or a cuppa coffee. As usual, he said yes and yes. (I'm smiling just typing about this) I love you for this. =p

We decided to stay close since both of us will be working tomorrow. Couldn't stay out too late, though. Went to Wangsa Walk to watch In Time. Nice movie, I should say. The story line was quite good. Unique. But I don't think JT and Amanda Seyfried are suitable for that kinda of character. I meant, JT and Amanda? Action movie? Seriously? Not a good idea. These kinda heavy movies need to be supported by a stronger anti-hero character.. like.. Jason Statham.. or Gerard Butler.. or anybody else who've got at least a rougher or hoarser voice. Just my opinion, though..

Here are some of the movie posters I found on the internet:

We went for coffee before the movie started. Thought of going to FullHouse. Love the the ambiance.. so garden-like. So, we ordered coffee. "We don't have coffee," said the waitress. Err.. owhkaay.. what kind of garden cafe that doesn't serve coffee? At all??

Oh well.. so we went to Rotiboy, instead. Bought the signature buns, hot coffee and choco dinosaur. Nothing special, though. Just the usual butter-filled buns, hot coffee and iced chocolate. Boring.

After the movie, we were hungry. Went to Mali's Corner for Nasi Lemak and Char Kuey Teow. Tutup pulak. Raya Haji.. Duhh.

We wrapped up our detink-detink session with Satay Kajang Hj. Samuri.
